I've been very remiss at updating this blog for such a long time, and that is partly because I now feel rather disassociated from the Daisy that was. As you might have guessed, today's Daisy is a rather different creature to the one who one first wrote her deepest darkest secrets here nearly 5 years ago.
Life is good, SkaterGuy and I are doing great and are looking forward to spending our lives together. Hopefully a family will come along sooner rather than later, but if it doesn't happen i'm sure that we'll be OK. I really hope that it does though as SkaterGuy will be an utterly brilliant Dad.
Of course it's not all peachy all of the time, it's coming up to two years since my lovely Mum died. I still miss her enormously and think about her all the time and I still feel guilty about the complicated relationship I had with my Dad. I miss that cranky unique old sod as well.
I figure that in the grand scheme of things the road has some pot-holes along the way, the sudden and unexpected loss of SkaterGuys job two days after we had found the perfect flat to move into in a country town in Kent. However, we're going to be just fine, the present is great and the future is exiting.
